Training is a critical component of any business. In the food industry, all managers and staff are required to be trained on their companies food safety systems, whether you are involved in minor retail systems or more intense certification schemes. This training must all be documented in a training policy and procedure and accompanied by schedules for all members of the company.

In the South African food industry, a portion of the tax collected from companies is allocated to SETA’s, who in turn distribute this to companies for the sole purpose of training staff. The SETA in the food industry is called the FOODBEV Seta and any company belonging to this SETA is eligible to claim mandatory and discretionary grants which fund training programs implemented by your company. This means that all training of managers and staff supplied by CereusSA to your organisation can be submitted to and claimed back from the SETA.
